And it's not even because of immigrants. It's just that Dresden is very nice city overall. In the west of Germany, anyone who can afford it moves to the countryside, so the cities are in really bad shape. In the east, it's the opposite: The idiots live in the villages, and the cities are rather nice and comfy.
The only issue is that I have to drive like 500 km 70 % of the times I want to go to events like conventions, and the train connection is rather poor. But I'm a degenerate for wanting to do that anyway, so it's fine.
