Why didn't America help the KMT?
-They could've defeated Japan early on
-They could have defeated the commies
-No communist China means no Korean war and Vietnam war

shut up netouyo who cares
>play as America in HOI4
>start lend lease to China really early
>China balloons to over 250 divisions and rapes Japan
>war ends quickly when they invade japan and they capitulate
>they take all of japan but turn fascist after killing the prc.
>now china joins axis
>now faced with nazis and crazy fascist chinese instead of japanese with chinese having literally unlimited manpower.

I don't think USSR was going to allow the commies to lose. They would have a large pro-US country right next door if KMT won
>>69897086
the USA had a clear advantage and nukes by the end of the war
they could have steamrolled the USSR for a laugh
>>69896823
They did. KMT were incompetent and corrupt.
We sent them a massive amount of weapons before and after 1945 but the KMT couldn't run their army well enough to make effective use of them
>>69896823
We tried but the KMT was absolutely awful at fighting a war. Chiange Kai-Shek was an idiot and preferred to save his tanks for military parades rather than actually use them in battle. His troops literally would starve to death because of corruption and they would be tied together at night so that they wouldn't run away.
Because American policy in China was heavily influenced by Mao sympathisers that argued Mao a gud boi he dindu nuffin

>tfw this westernised chink founded modern China
>he would've made China a capitalist country
>instead he died too early and the commies took over
The US did support the KMT, materialy.
The US public was not about to accept US intervention in China, when we had just finished the pacific war.
Also, for some reason, US allies are always shit.
KMT, South Vietnam, Rebels, etc.
>US sends weapons to aid KMT
>They end up in the hands of communist terrorists
It's kind of like ISIS now.

He was pretty Han-chauvinist desu.

KMT had been forsaken from UN since Yalta Conference already.
They were not invited at that conference.
Actually, KMT had their will to surrender to Japan since relatively early time.
Therefore USA had looked down on them already.

>Why didn't America help the KMT?
Why didn't America help the Entente?
They were more than happy to sit out the war, do nothing until they were themselves attacked, and then laugh at everyone for not being America.
>>69896823
They did. Turns out the KMT still loses to literal peasants.
Perhaps USA should've allied with the peasants instead.
