1) Find the flag you want to replicate on the Internet
2) Save the image file
3) Open in in Paint
4) Use the eyedrop tool to select the mean color of an area of the image file corresponding to one pixel on a regional flag
5) Open pic related in Paint
5) Select the paintbrush tool and make sure it's on Stroke = 1
6) Click to color in the pixel
7) Repeat process until you have a completed regional flag

It takes a while, and at first I thought it was too time-consuming but in the end it pays off with some nice regional flags

PS zooming in makes it a lot easier

I just noticed kar has already added Viqueque, no matter, mine is much better. Mine highlights the vibrant colors, while his looks like something my son could make in art class. All the colors are blended together - his version has border colors, like peach, that aren't even on the flag!

Hold on m8, this gets down to a debate we've had numerous times which is the aliased vs anti-aliased debate.

What we've agreed on is anti-aliased flags, the one on the right. That's been a major purpose in the county flag project is replacing aliased flags.

What anti-aliasing does is give a more accurate downscaling of the original flag. Aliased flags (left), while appearing more vibrant, are often inaccurate in portraying the flag (notice the red stripe doesn't extend to the top left on the aliased version). Unless we can come to a community to consensus to reverse this (and I hope we don't after I've spent weeks doing hundreds of county flags), we should be sticking to the current policy.
