>Live in California
>All of our rivers are shit
>MFW we have no (good) principle river to give us water and inspire art and culture
>I will never lazily float down a river in a comfy boat
>I will never be able to spend an afternoon fishing by the dockside
>No riverside homes
>No beautiful bridges
>Still have to constantly worry about water
Anons who live in countries with actually decent rivers, what is it like?
Just come to Arizona. We have the Colorado River and a few decent lakes.
Rivers are lots of fun. Until the beginning of spring when they decide that humanity is overrated and start flooding.
Look at this shit! You might think "oh that's a cute little stream", but it isn't a stream. That's the Santa Ana River, the largest river in greater Los Angeles and it is a piece of shit river. Its the nearest river to me and I can't even get my feet wet in that thing!

We border the Colorado too but living near it involves sitting in the desert.

They're already stealing 50% of Colorado river water despite contributing next to nothing in the drainage basin

They're given 50% of the lower drainage basin water just because they happen to share a border with the river.
The drainage barely extends into CA and is entirely dry washes.

and Nevada gets all of the water from a lake which is mostly in California but we don't bitch about it
