I wanted to ask about pic and it's party leader. At face value their political stances seem dangerous to me, but maybe something that the Russian people might approve of. But what I've heard later is that they're not a real opposition, but merely a proxy propped up by the government to give themselves more democratic legitimacy. Is this true, do you think?

I hate PПЦ.
Russian Orthodox Church (PПЦ) have in the main old people (it is very funny because in USSR religion was outlaw), but grannies raising grandchildren in religion. So, i was a member in 7-12 y.o., but it was very very stupid and now i am atheist.
I think, PПЦ is a old russian tradition, but it has never been a good tradition. (but many famous russian scientists like Lomonosov think differently)
Now our government accept several laws, like prohibition on insulting the feelings of believers (зaкoн oб ocкopблeнии чyвcтв вepyющих), so, it is outlaw to say that the orthodox church doing something wrong. If i going to the church topless (i am male) - maybe i go to prison for two years. Something like that shit in social networks - i can not offend believers in internet. But that law not only for orthodox church, it also for muslims and others. Something like antiextremistic way, but forcible and hardcore.
Also, russian lurkmore have many information about all of this fucking shit.
Jirinovsky is a very smart politician with two higher educations, but he conducts a cunning game. That is like Trump now. And, yes, this is not a real opposition, but some people like ЛДПP.
I think, Putin now best president for Russia, because all other candidates fucking clowns. In 2012 one candidate propose 12-hours work day for all, haha. So, i think, real opposition in russia is impossible thing until putin died or happens something similar in greatness.

Yes, differences are very little. Uncomparable with dialects of german where people hardly understand each other.

Some dialects sounds special, i mean, ryazansky accent have g like... i dont know, you can try to extremely relax your throat and say sound "g". But it is completely clear for understanding.
