Concede or at least argue the point. You can talk about theoretical situations all you want, but in terms of actual, real-world events we can objectively obverse and discuss, secularism and abandonment of region is very much associated with the downfall of our society. Furthermore, there is not a sophistical example of a society without religion that became a great civilization. Regardless of what you think the truth is, you can't sit down with each and every citizen and tell him that there is no god or any higher purpose but that there are still certain ways he should and should not behave. It doesn't work.

And if you think "turn the other cheek" is somehow the primary essence of Christianity, you clearly don't understand it enough to be debating it's merits or demerits.
