A good part and more than others but not most no, it's like 1/4 th of it or so i'd say. The brothers Grimm were very prolific so they really get he numbers up.

People already mentioned the brother Grimm's works, those are fine. There's also Michael Ende, I found his books to be enjoyable even if you're an adult (suggestion: der Wunschpunsch and Momo are nice).

Also consider translated stuff you've read/watched already, so you already know the context, and can focus more on the language itself, without being so fucking annoying, like reading a fucking grammarbook.

Anything from Astrid Lindgren is well translated into German. Karl May's Winnetou is also popular and easy to read, even though it's long.
Classic youth books like "Emil und die Detektive", "TKKG", "Die Drei ???", anything from Michael Ende, "Das Sams", "Oh, wie schön ist Panama". "Max und Moritz" is one of the more cruel children's books if you are interested in that.

I just realized how much I read as a child. If I hadn't used the library my bookshelf would be huge.
