I just kept practising it putting my tongue to the roof of my mouth and breathing. Took a few days but now I can at least roll it albeit hard it is hard to actually use it in proper speech.

There are 4 r’s.

The anglo r.
The normal r (the trill)
The tapped r (like in Japanese)
The uvular r (French and German)

I always use the tapped r and several times I asked people if my r is weird, and they said no. So the tapped r is acceptable in Russian.
