à whole lot of reason but in Good part long war with britain leaving France diminish and of course support from rich class of merchant against the monarchy. It gave us the democracy and the voting système we still use today... Bankruptcy and later paranoia. They became scared that the king and the nobility were working towards a counter-revolution that would ruin the work of the moderate constitutional monarchists. More and more people were radicalised especially when the Prussians were slowly advancing towards Paris with the Jacobin leadership accusing the King and nobility of secretly collaberating with the Prussians.
