I think you gotta differentiate in between these Sharia patrols, which they also have in other countries like Germany and real no go areas like say Molenbeek in Brusels. Now, I've seen heavily Muslim areas in Barcelona and London which kinda made me nervous as run down places with shady looking people (any group/people in the world can make a place unwelcoming on just it being blighted/impoverished) so what I think would be the reasonable asumption is if you've got Sharia patrols in this area it can make it feel like a no go area on just their being out once a week regardless of no one else giving a fuck. Now true no go areas, as they do seem to exist in France and Sweden, would be these same run down places on a larger scale and with literal criminals taking over, much like inner cities in the US. Their being Muslims just give it an edge and while I'd say it's safe to say any other people/group in the world could do the same the thing is they probably would take as provocation anything contrary to Islamic morality (as long as isn't being done by the locals some of which I would assume do sometimes like drinking and scantily clothed women) the real interesting here would be to what degree these places do actually radicalize people, my understanding is mosques in much nicer neighbourhoods would work just as well.

All my opinion here, I'm obviously no expert.
