How do you Yuropoors get shit done with less than a 40 hour work week.
>4-6 weeks off per year for vacation
>10 month maternity leave at 80% pay for women

Explain yourselves.
>>
>>69504094
They don't.

There's a reason they're so much poorer than Americans.
>>
You'd be surprised at what a country can do if their people are granted a decent/existing social security.
>>
>>69504141
Define poor
>>
>>69504224
They have less money.
>>
>>69504094
I'm baffled that Frenchies get to work 35 hours a week desu. Guess it isn't how long you work but how efficient you're in that time
>>
>>69504284
What are you talking about? GDP pro capita? Median income? Average income?
>>
>>69504382
Im so fucking tired of this shit, and any time you criticize it, they pull out some stats for later 90s, saying we are more efficient than the Germans while working less ours. The people here are so fucking entitled, theyd be ol with having half the country unemployed as long as they keep their social privileges.
>>
work smart is better than working a lot
>>
>>69504582
Please explain how you are able to work less than 32 hours, and give your women almost a paid year off for maternity leave.
Where does this money come from?
Asking for a friend.

Taxes/SocialSecurity

Chocking the private sector with taxes (although its the small business that are hit the hardest)
>>
>>69504577
All of them desu

Most European countries aren't doing so well economically.

>inb4 but le Lichenstein and Switzerland is balling hard off Jew gold and banking!!!
>>
>>69504740
You're either taking memes too seriously or you're delusional, Switzerland has the second most complex economy in the world. You can't make that up with banking and... gold?

Poverty and "countries doing well economically" are two different things. Have a look at this, more inequality means more poverty. Take a close look at that graph.

There's obviously a few exceptions, i was just memeing about Switzerland and Lichenstein thing but most aren't doing too well.

Doesn't count, they don't factually do better than the US. The US Is the economic powerhouse of the world.

Income inequality doesn't mean anything. The important thing is the standard of living.

Income inequality is not inherently an unjust or bad thing, in any way.

>>
>>69505705
>A country is worse if my neighborhood has 50x times more than I do, instead of being both equally poor

This is how retarded this """statistic""" is.

Because Turkey has more people poorer and closer together by wealth, they have less poverty than the US. Makes sense i guess

However you may look at it. The poverty rate is the ratio of the number of people (in a given age group) whose income falls below the poverty line; taken as half the median household income of the total population. However, two countries with the same poverty rates may differ in terms of the relative income-level of the poor.

a) Scholarships/grants

b) The military (pays a fuck ton and has loads of benefits)

c) Jobcorps/trades (you can enter a trade nearly for free, even make money learning it)

d) Community college for dirt cheap for 2 years then transfer to 4 year school

Yes I've read the things that I've posted in this thread.

I do not use /pol/, but good one,

Which part would you like to dispute? The high unemployment rates in EU countries? The low average household income? The low gdp per capita?
>>
>>69506231
Unemployment is low in most eu countries. 6/10 of the countries with the highest gdp per capita are European. Maybe you're looking at statistics in countries like Poland and bulgaria. here are a few

Several important achievements in particle physics have been made through experiments at CERN. They include:

1973: The discovery of neutral currents in the Gargamelle bubble chamber;[9]
1983: The discovery of W and Z bosons in the UA1 and UA2 experiments;[10]
1989: The determination of the number of light neutrino families at the Large Electron–Positron Collider (LEP) operating on the Z boson peak;
1995: The first creation of antihydrogen atoms in the PS210 experiment;[11]
1999: The discovery of direct CP violation in the NA48 experiment;[12]
2010: The isolation of 38 atoms of antihydrogen;[13]
2011: Maintaining antihydrogen for over 15 minutes;[14]
2012: A boson with mass around 125 GeV/c2 consistent with the long-sought Higgs boson.[15]

Yes.

The average poor american has access to tons of cheap credit that lets him live a much more luxurious life

>So you haven't been to Europe then

I have been to quite a few European countries but that has nothing to do with what we're discussing.

As a tourist you visit the Best a country has to offer.

I visited Russia. Moscow is a beautiful city, world-class. But does that really represent how the Average Russian lives? By measuring by an incredibly expensive city? Of course not. So what would visiting a country have to do with it?

What do your mean by that? A credit card? I don't know if youre aware of this but credit cards also exist in europe. But access to credit does not make for a better life. I've worked in Ireland for 1 year as a waiter. I made twice as much there than I would have made in canada/usa. Much more social assistance there as well. People have more free time there. Even people working minimum wage jobs.
I spent 3 months in Spain. Even those who are unemployed live with dignity, unlike those in USA. I was in serbia for one month, and although that is one of the poorest countries in europe, they still enjoy a far superior education system than we have here in canada and usa.

Says the guy with literally no skills who works for minimum wage as an adult.

Why can't you answer? What jobs did you work in these countries. What is your professional work experience of the last 5 years?
>>
>>69507357
Greeks don't work. They just sit at the office, socializing and making hours.
>>
>>69507307
>You work at/around the minimum wage, and think you're "worldly" because you've worked a bunch of shitty jobs and had very little to no money saved or invested in the market. You view everyone superior to you as "cheating" or "probably got the money from their rich parents
You're quite wrong about your assumptions of me. It's late, go to bed. You have school tomorrow. How's 11th grade by the way?
>>
>>69507394
They are just enjoying life you know
>>
>>69507416
What field do you work in?

I work at a big 4 accounting firm. Where do you work?
>>
>>69507175
>Why aren't they educated enough to make a country that isn't poorer than India?
Are we going by per capita? Because then it isn't, if we are going by str8 numbers, you're poorer than India

>>69507215
>So then why should they get anything?
And that's why there are many poor Americans

>pass an aptitude test to get into US airforce.
Do you mean like a pilot? I'm pretty sure not everyone is suited for that, or do you mean like an aircraft maintenance sort of guy?

>>69507294
You missed the point, your average American is dabbing or being kidnapped by niggers. Any country in the future that can offer those scientists more money won't be working in the US anymore.

>>69507357
>Look ma, I found 20 countries out of like 200 that work longer hours HA HA
>>
>>69507388
I didn't work while I was travelling, other than Ireland, however here in canada I work in an engineering company developing mines. You're assumptions are incredibly wrong.
>>
>>69507438
>Do you mean like a pilot?

You can work in the US airforce and never be inside of an aircraft.
>>
>>69507438
>>Look ma, I found 20 countries out of like 200 that work longer hours HA HA

It's about the claim that the US works exceedingly long hours, which doesn't have any basis.
>>
>>69507466
You won't get an office job and I'm not quite that you can be the maintenance guy as I've previously stated with a high school diploma, but you probably can. My friend is studying to be the guy that blasts you with X-rays and shit and here you have to complete college for that and in America you only need to take like a course or some shit.

>>69507491
It depends on the number of people working part-time + they don't get paid time off
>>
>>69507438
>And that's why there are many poor Americans

That's okay. The poor are subhuman. For capable people the US is the best country on earth. There's a reason the smartest people from all over the world pay hundreds of thousands of dollars on average for US greencards.
>>
>>69507613
>For capable people the US is the best country on earth
You got that right. But the yuros seek consolation in the fact that their poor are less miserable than ours. Which is also questionable but that's a different story.
>>
>>69507768
It's quite typical of them really, not much surprise here.

They are rather content with being mediocre. Explains why they don't do so well really.
>>

>There's a reason the smartest people from all over the world pay hundreds of thousands of dollars on average for US green cards.
That's if you want to move to America by opening a business if you get a job offer I'm pretty sure you pay like a thousand dollars and even that is probably covered by the company, because if they pay you in six figures I'm pretty sure they get much more in return. Also when did this turn from the debate that poor people in America are fucked. I mean the US is the best, poor people should just be sent to Canada, your rich should come to the US and robots will keep on going the great Canadian economy of natural resources
>>
>>69507826
>That's if you want to move to America by opening a business

Yeah that's true, I'm just saying the fact that some people are willing to pay so much really speaks volumes about how much they value US citizenship.

Socialist mentality derides excellence and promotes mediocrity. They even have a special term for that in nordic countries like Finland or Norway. Basically they are taught that you need to know your place and you are not better than others. So they have no extreme poverty but everyone has the same stuff, and all look the same, but they think it is better than way.
>>
>>69507953
It's just sad honestly.

A life of mediocrity isn't a life worth living. Life is about struggle, and overcoming struggle. Might explain why they're so depressed, being a green house plant must be depressing, there's no way it couldn't be.
>>
>5am
>have to take shit
>have to get up in 45mins anyway
>see this thread while on the shitter

It's called taxes and social security. Also 4 weeks vacation is the bare minimum for me and I expect 13 payouts of my wage a year.

for the love of god you didn't flush did you?

but having to get up at 5:45am is not worth it, man...

It's a myth, my father told me it used to be loud as fuck cause the walls were thin and the entire house woke up from it.
>>69508104
Maybe for you but I like going to work if I get paid enough for it.
>>
>>69504094
Why does it matter anyway?
>>

Their education systems manage to get good outcome and results DESPITE being poorer. Look at Poland's PISA scores.
>>
>Working long hours means getting shit done

So America is like Greece then? Because they work retarded hours.
>>
I'll concede that for capable professionals and specialists, the USA is a great place to work and live.

You're excluding 95% of the populace though. And not ignoring them is neither socialist nor "deriding excellence" in any way, it's the decent way to treat your countrymen.

But hey! That one Canadian and the Americans in this godawful thread are experts on Europe so I'll better go wake up my government mandated Syrian and we'll walk or take public transport (remember, no cars! This is socialism after all) to the breadline.

Good morning, comrade.

>I'll better go wake up my government mandated Syrian and we'll walk or take public transport
Mine is busy with my wife at the moment. I have to wait in my shed until he's done. Luckily I have wifi in here.
