What's the draft policy in your country? Are you in range?

Here's ours:

Draftees would be selected by lottery. The first to be called would be men whose 20th birthday falls during that year. If necessary, they would be followed by those aged 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25. Those who are 18 or turning 19 would probably not be drafted, according to the Selective Service System.
>>
>However, the Selective Service System remains in place as a contingency plan; male civilians between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to register so that a draft can be readily resumed if needed.[2]

>Americans unironically believe they are free
>>

We are, but we still have a duty to our country. I really don't mind this system when used as a last resort in total war that threatens us (not the meme way they used it for Vietnam).
>>
>>69484232
you can serve your duty voluntarily. if you have to be forced you aren't free
>>
>>69484180
>coming from the country that's forced to vote
>>

He can always shoot the unjust, virtueless government goon coming for him, unlike you, nogunz cuckstrayan.

You have state militias for this very purpose, anon. Mandating service to Uncle Sam under threat of violence is wrong and most certainly not something your founding fathers would have approved of.

my country isnt the one that claims to be the poster child of liberty
>>
>>69483299
We don't have a draft, as we're not an imperialistic hegemon.
>>
>>69484356
This >>69484429
is worse than the SSS for reasons you should comprehend by thine own hand.
>>
>>69484527
i do not support mandatory voting.

I'm not defending our bullshit im calling americans out on theirs
>>
>>69483299
This is the draft policy in my country
(Well how it was last used)

>use lottery system
>avoid it cause college or nepotism/cronyism
>if you can't do that go to basic training
>many 18 & 19 year old's drafted
>fight r/asianmasculinity
>lose 58k guys
>still lose the war
>by the end unit cohesion and discipline is completely broken down
>gov. has to hide fragging incidents

Drafts only work with real wars on no wars, not half wars.

Everyone between 18 to 45 can be summoned at any time. Period.
If you don't appear when summoned you go to jail.

But the conscription has been suspended so you don't have to appear just yet.
>>
In sweden military service for both men and women is about to be implemented again.

I was was in one of the last rounds with mandatory military service the last time. 10.5 months mandatory and 4.5 months extra since they had a lack of technical specialists with winter combat and survival training.

We are no longer a hokey farming colony. We are a large country and a superpower with larger enemies. This is the most efficient way to ensure enough men are available when the chips are down. You could risk capitulation otherwise as you scramble to put together "militias" and meme resistance while the enemy walks up to your door.

>>69484356

Pretty poor foresight on your part. If it's voluntary everyone will be waiting until it's too late and hiding in their houses with shotguns. Not enough guys would volunteer. I think SSS is a good last resort measure, not saying it should be used for anything else.

>>69484462
How is a draft infringing liberty?
>inb4 the liberty to be idle as your nation is destroyed

>>69484671
Oh it's 17 to 45.
>>
Should women be drafted too?

not arguing the effectiveness of conscription. just saying you can't simultaneously be living in a country where you can be forced to go to war against your will and call your self free.

>>69484732
do they have the freedom to be idle or not? It doesn't matter if you think they're cowards or whatever or even if they really are, fact is they don't have the freedom to not serve.
>>
>>69484793
I believe they introduced it for women here in 2016 after tensions with Russia were rising.

Mandatory conscription with get-outta-jail-free cards for vaginas and other untermensch. Seems to work good enough.

t. cable corboral from batch II/10

I think so, even in combat positions if they have the ability and aptitude for it.

I saw some figures from a statistical survey in that well above 90% of the women wants to do military service.
>>
>>69484793
In every country except ours. Then we'll conquer the world.
>>
>>69484487
You just had to say "we're irrelevant"
>>
The last time our draft was used during a real war was when we were invading Indonesia. Then 95k people were drafted. And the law was changed so people could be send to combat against their will.

People who objected against their service for political or moral reasons got a standard 2 year prison sentence.
If you oppose it for religious reasons you get a non-combat function.

In the year I turned 18 I had to enlist myself. The evaluation started in the morning, there were probably 50-80 other boys there. First they registered each one of us in an old computer, after one hour there was a medical interview and a strength test.

After that we were directed to some stalls and had take off our clothes, I couldn't see the people next to me but I could see the guy in front of me naked (and he could see me, obviously), a doctor went around and asked us to blow our hands while he touched our ballsack. It was awkward.

After that there was some waiting and an interview. The guy asked me some general questions and if I wanted to serve, I told him no because I wanted to finish my studies at uni.

I was dispensed, end.

"Meme resistance" works well enough, as evidenced by the success of guerrilla forces in recent times. Furthermore, your country is located in a place where war with a foreign nation will never be difficult to suppress, be it with federal, national guard, state militia or /k/omrade forces.
>>
>>69486029
Guerilla only works if your enemy cares enough about civilians not to kill them.
In Indonesia we chopped off the heads of all males in villages that were suspected of meme resistance and put their heads on poles.
>>

>Guerilla only works if your enemy cares enough about civilians not to kill them.
There´s no point in conquering a bombed-to-shit wasteland.

>In Indonesia we chopped off the heads of all males in villages that were suspected of meme resistance and put their heads on poles.
Americans are armed to the teeth. What makes you think they´ll let you, or anyone else, behead them?
>>
>>69486267
>military base has 5000 man
>some guys with machine guns think they can take them on
>apache takes off and removes the annoying men from premises and then shoots their village up
>>
>>69483299
conscription or mandatory military service, i dont know how to say it, everybody gets an invite, only losers and weaklings wont go. even homo's goes to the service.
i was there back in 2014, when i was there it sucked hard, but now it just puts a smile on my face
>>
>>69486355
What military base? We´re talking of a defensive scenario here, not a US-led invasion. Moron.

Furthermore, Apaches don´t fuel themselves and aren´t immune to AA-measures - which the guerrilla US forces are more than likely to have in their possession.
