We had some basic hand to hand and takedown training in the military.
I'm pretty sure some highschools offer martial arts courses for students.

I used to do karate when I was a kid. By the time I was in high school though I dropped it. Everyone used to just fight like savage animals irl so it wasn't as useful as I wished it was, still fun though
