whenever I see yet another thread about Poland I must force myself not to type out a hateful post full of frustration and self-loathing

I know my country has some virtues but I tend to ignore them whenever some foreigner starts blindly praising Poland

i understand this feel when Canadians say silly things like "Toronto is a world class city" almost as if they say this enough, it will come true. Toronto is a good place to raise a family though (minus the retarded housing prices)

A month living in Kielce removed any idealistic views of Poland I may have had previously. Despite being threatened with violence on more occasions than in the rest of my (not particularly sheltered) life, at least I kept my teeth. A colleague was not so fortunate.
