The dialects are a mixture of both langauges so its quite obvious they're included

it is a german dialect

but not a dialect of standard german, its a dialect witihn the germanic dialect continuum.

similarly swiss german, austro-bavarian, dutch, low german, they're all like separate langauges, but they belong to this linguistic continuum. Don't confuse it for standard german, standard german is not the centre or the main part of this continuum by any means.
