Why do all of you cunts want to live in California or NY?
Just buy a big ass patch of land in Montana and enjoy the kind of freedom your founding fathers meant
>>69228685
Very good
>>69228705
because the cities are where the jobs and activities usually are
yes, many people live great lives in rural areas (they don't even need to be in 1000-miles-from-nowhere Montana, they can be in rural parts of populated states), but many people find it boring. maybe as we all age we appreciate rural life more
>>69228705
I would never live in NY or any major city
,shit is too expensive there.Best bet is the Midwest or the Rockies
>>69228564
Do you really have to learn all the 50 states and it's capitals? Sounds like a pain in the ass.
>>69228754
I'd rather live in Billings or Missoula then live on a farm in bumfuck nowhere
>>69228694
Is it comfy? I have never heard of it.
>>69228899
You don't need the Capitals but the States are important.I assume it is based on the person
>>69228705
Grandfather has land in Texas that's supposed to be my inheritance hate to say it but I can't wait.
>>69228962
States seems reasonable though. I think I could pull off about twenty states without google.
>>69228948
If you like rainfall then it is comfy. It actually depends on what you expect and desire from a "comfy" place
>>69228918
Same. It's great that some people enjoy the rural life, but walking outside with nothing really in reach would suck unless it's in the apocalypse
>>69228948
anywhere in america is comfy if you are secure/safe enough. whole of the west coast is very expensive
>>69229065
You really only need to know about the large ones. You aren't gonna be asked "What's the capital of Vermont"
>>69228705
California has literally perfect climate, that's why.
New York appears pompous somehow.
>>69229152
Toronto
>>69229219

>>69229295
I guess you're the expert since you seem like you live there.
>>69229204

fucking miserable
>>69229204
A lot of northeast pride is very, well, prideful.
We have hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters. Lots of overcast. Highest population density in the nation if you live by the coast. High cost of living. Segregated cities. Etc.....
The thing the pride stems from is the perception it makes us "tough". Also that the Northeast is very work focused, and is where "people go to make it" in their careers. Very goal-oriented, confrontational, and hierarchical, unlike the west. There is also a belief that we are more confrontational and """real"""/honest than people from other parts
>>69229283
I don't think I'm the one you meant to reply to.
>>69229362
no but i spent a month in one of the suburbs and a month close to the capitol building for work

If you'd live in Vermont then you might as well move to Canada.
burger crosstalk
>>69229439
fuck off cookie nigger
>>69229493
I believe Vermont is Canada's way of buffering against American immigration. They can just point to Vermont and tell everyone to go there.
>>69229524
It's not even funny how closely connected they are
>>69228705
The founding fathers were cosmopolitan dandies. I'm not trying to be snide in saying this because it's the truth.
>>69229659
I have nothing against Benjamin "MILF Slammer" Franklin being a cosmopolitan yankee doodle dandie.
I heard once that while writing the declaration, B Franks kept wandering out into Philly. They would send an errand boy to find him, and he would always be found with a naked woman
>>69228948
Do you like rain? Because that's practically the default in Western Washington where Olympia is.
>>69229659
>>69229740
Also might I add that Rural American in the 18th century =/= 21st century Rural America.
There was literally an entire group of people living in rural America back then who were very pissed off that whites were moving in and made it clear via raids
sry I am a major franklin-boo
>>69228617

>>69228948

>>69229152
>>69229244
Really? Written the same as Montpelier in France
>>69229970
French Americans are a major, sometimes the largest, ethnic group in those areas. For some reason they are all crowded in either northern New England or the bottom of Louisiana (cajun people). like lmao senpai make up ur mind
>>69229970
It was named after Montpelier in France
>>69230044
I knew about the Cajun in Louisiana but Montpelier got its name during the War of Indepdence when there was high enthusiasm for the French
>>69230087
>>69230044
Yeah figured...
Realized just after posting.
Otherwise I just think some like cold climates and some like warm climates
>north of France is cold
>south of France has meditteranean climate so warm
France has many climates even being this small so people can change a lot in different places in France
>>69230192
cool, never knew that
>>69229969
Only if you like meth, flyover scum
>>69230192
Not surprised there was a high enthusiasm for the French at that time heh...
Especially when it was one of their colonies for a few decades (or more? Idk)
I noticed that there are many Americans that have french-sounding names, how come?
There wasn't that much french immigration during the 19th century was there?
>>69230354
Actually California has the largest amount of French-Americans [1.1M] but 25% of Maine is French.
>>69230467
Thanks for the info, I had no idea there was that many French-Americans
Where are some other places you could think about that have many of them?
>>69230637
New York and Massachusetts along with the Upper Peninsula of Michigan have 900.000 French Americans each.
Hillary Clinton,Angelina Joline and Brett Favre are French American but you have to keep in mind that American Whites are really diluted
>>69229379

>>69231144
Califags will self destruct if it snows
>>69228564
