Why do Indian movies always incorportate multiple dancing/song scenes? What's the cultural reason behind that?

It's like every Indian movie is a live action Disney.
Indians aren't cucks who unironically pay money to watch pretentious fuckwits enact a boring sob-story for 120 minutes. They'd rather be entertained.

I doubt that's really the reason behind that.

In classical Indian theater plays, you can find a lot of dancing and singing intermissions, a tradition that has perdured even in Bollywood movies.
Weused to do that in America too you know.
It eventually got too expensive to have a hundred people in the background suddenly bust out singing and dancing in tune.
Apparently in India youcan get a hundred singing and dancing fagtrons on a dime.
Most Indians are poor and these kinds of movies are is one of the few kinds of entertainment they can afford so there's demand for movies with as much shit in as possible

Danish movies used to also always have songs. I think it happened because a lot of people in the movie industry used to have a background in theaters.

And what's the reason for that? Is singing and dancing of deep religious significance?

Actually that's true.

These people are clearly professionals though, they probably didn't cost pennies.
Reminded me of this scene, Indians make pretty catch songs
