We may not agree on many things but still I feel like we're very similar countries. So how about a Korea x Japan thread?

Not only Japanese, but all Chinese, Russian, European, or whoever in Eurasia are raped babies of our glorious Korean Empire, remember that.

Actually yes. Japanese and Korean are very similar grammatically and have many somewhat similar words in common.

>but still I feel like we're very similar countries.
of course it's similar, because korea as a modern nation state was literally created by japan through sino-japanese war and its result of shimonoseki treaty, and even after independence post war development was done by japan educated people, represented by park chung-hee, with massive japanese financial/technological supports, and as a result the bulk of fundamentals of the nation, ranging from law to institutions, haven't been so changed from what japan laid.

>is it true that japanese royalty have korean blood?
yes, an 8th century emperor, kammu, was born to a concubine whose ancestor was sent from baekje korea to yamato japan as a royal hostage some 200 years before.
>it seems like Japan get butthurt whenever this is mentioned
not really, as it shows the power of yamato to make both baekje and shilla koreas pay tribute, after all
I hate these threads. too much negativity. Happy thoughts my friends

until a few years ago i tought japan and south korea were basically the same country, like the us and canada.
>>68757704
Yes, for sure. I've known Korean since I was a kid and picking up Japanese was fairly natural for me compared to others I've seen try and learn it (mostly because of the grammar I figure)
