It sounds a lot dumber translated word by word from Slovak in English because we use declensions (we change word endings and sometimes whole words based on the function of them in the sentence - example: prísť changes to prišiel, imperialistickí to imperialistických etc.)

What most people forget or even don't know is that the war didn't start in 1965 with the American deployment or end in '75 with the withdrawal (it did end pretty soon afterwards though to be fair). Like most people, I have a pretty vague idea about pre-US involvement stages of the war at best, and I don't really know what the average Viet saw the whole thing as, but I've heard that thing about China (I guess you could compare it to how for the Europeans WWII was about USSR and Germany, and for the US it was about Japan and Italy).
