It is actually an issue. But people don't realize it until it's pointed out.

It's more of a subconcience thing. Like having a low wage on a profile, being ugly, being short, being balding, wearing ugly clothes etc can all be reasons why people skip you in a split second.

Of course you can deal with it, but you're still 1 point behind at the start. And with many people, especially in clubs and dating, you don't get the opportunity to make up for that one point.
