And obviously a reliable way of getting rid of those who don't meet requirements of asylum applicant. Basically a long process of creating several hundreds of pages about muh flora and fauna and noise levels and shit. Then there was a public debate and anyone could have raised protests on this. You can imagine that such process takes months or years.
And when everything is finally prepared for building, then comes EU and says "we changed the law, you have to implement this law and start from beginning...if you don't do that, not only we don't give you money for this particular construction, but we also stop funds for ALL other projects and on top of that we give you some millions of Euros of fines" Yeah, fair.
