A fuckin newbie is what iam
But I've never learned a language other than watching movies, reading books and playing videogames.
And I already finished Metro twice before I decided to learn russian, so i'm not doing it again.
Already working with method, duolingo, and youtube lesson, what I'm looking for is some kind of easy literature (even good children book will do)

rutracker.net
it have wide choice of different kinds of literature {and educative too}(use google translation for navigation)
also http://ostrovok.de/index
contain many short tales
for example

http://ostrovok.de/p/bulgakov

you can try to google some french and other writers you know on russian

it will be better if you translate your request at first and than google it on russian

Duolingo is good but I found the grammar explanations either lacking or too confusing at times. The guy insists explaining in text what could easily be explained (and better understood by the reader) with simple fucking tables like all other duolingo courses I tried before.
Wikipedia has a pretty good and succinct article on Russian Grammar with all the tables I ever wanted. Yes, I know

It's good. Check it yourself.
