Good carriers (no cuckramp) use catapults to launch planes in the air

Also "can't launch itself, not a plane" would literally mean all WWII planes that were carried on non carrier ships were not planes, as they were catapult launched.

>Brazil brought the plane to civilization
Not really. When the Wright brothers try to patent the air plane, France feared that USA and UK would have the monopoly over the airplane. Then France decide to support the claim of Dumond.
Dumond register first his airplane (not 14-bis) and make it "open source".
In the exactly day that the airplane became public domain, France apologize and agree that the Wright brothers are the legit air plane inventors.

This is the history of how a single Brazilian cuck the entire American Air force.
>>
>>68341913
I mean, their patent was still binding in the US so they made most of their money anyway.
>>
>>68341982
What?
You have to pay for something that someone made free for all?
>>
>>68342050
Do... Do you not understand what a patent is, Brasilanon?

You document how to operate and reproduce your technology and the government grants you exclusive rights to the production of that technology for a limited amount of time. A detailed rundown of how the Wrights' technology worked was publicly available from the patent office as soon as they filed.

If we use the Wright Brother's definition of a plane then neither their or Dumont's plane was first, there were others before both of them.

What truly matters is that Dumont kickstarted the aviation revolution with a stable and controllable design, Wright's plane simply wasn't practical and they shot themselves in the foot by autistically trying to monetize it by hiding it away in classic burger fashion while someone went ahead and did a better job than them.

Believing the Wright Brothers' story is like believing Ryan Lochte's story, when Dumont did his public flight nobody had ever heard of the Wright Brothers and they had zero patent applications for airplanes even though they did have patents for kites, then they show up in France and a year after Dumont's flight they start claiming they had done it before in secret, their evidence:
-Undated pictures that could have been made at any time
-Stories from 2 or 3 farmers who were close friends
-Some incoherent poorly forged documents
Then they bribe some French officials and history is rewritten because Brazil is a diplomatic midget incapable of fighting against this kind of injustice.

Hamida Djandoubi (Arabic: حميدة جندوبي; September 22, 1949 – September 10, 1977) was a Tunisian agricultural worker and convicted murderer. He moved to Marseille, France, in 1968 and six years later he kidnapped, tortured and murdered 22-year-old Élisabeth Bousquet, his former mate. He was sentenced to death in February 1977 and executed in September that year. He was the last person to be executed in Western Europe[1] and the last person executed by beheading in the Western world. Marcel Chevalier served as chief executioner.[2]

No, and the bike exemple wasn't a good one, but you should get the point.

Wright brothers claimed the invention based on a kite with an engine. Enough to sustain seconds up, thrown by something else. If it can't get itself going and actually fly, it's not a plane.

Explain how the fuck it WASN'T an aircraft?

The only real difference was that they used wing bending rather than ailerons. But even so, their use of a rudder for coupled roll and yaw control was revolutionary and is still used on all aircraft today.

Embraer is currently the 4th biggest designer of commercial aircraft, behind Boeing/Airbus (can't remember which one is first) and Bombardier.

I imagine that they also have several local suppliers which rely on Embraer, but nothing really noteworthy on an international level I believe.

And I think that's pretty much it. Also, Embraer makes WW2-looking planes, which is kinda cool. Pic related, the Super Tocano.

>it wasn't though? that's the whole point?
What are you talking about? It actually lifted. Not very high, but it most certainly lifted.

>ah cool, now you cherrypick.
How the fuck is it cherrypicking? The definition of flight is pretty much the ability to generation more lift than weight for a device which is heavier than air.

>yeah hooray for gliders, they can keep people up in the air
A glider doesn't have any form of propulsion, doesn't have control surfaces, has little to no rotational axis control, doesn't generate positive net lift except early on in its flight when it's relying on its initial velocity (provided entirely by gravity), can never land at the same altitude at which it took off, and can never at any point in its flight reach an altitude higher than that from which it took off.

The Wright Flyer is different from gliders in all of these regards. It was an aircraft, whether you like it or not.

>>
>>68351531
>Even stones can fly with fucking catapults.
No, because they don't actually generate lift (or at least, not enough lift to compensate for their own weight)

The Wright's launching system didn't even do anything in the vertical axis for fuck's sake. All it did was provide additional speed in the horizontal axis to help it reach the necessary velocity for takeoff.
>>
>>68351698

>Yes, stupid apparel throwing something that can't work itself out.
In what way? See >>68350944

It had control in all rotational axis. In its third flight, it was able to remain in the air for over 800 feet.

>Had them have replicated the entire thing for everybody else. They did not.
And? How the fuck does that change what their plane was able to do? Whether or not it was replicated, the plane still was able to fly. This isn't a lab experiment where replication is necessary for scientific validity; it's a device which was recorded for its ability to fly. Whether or not they replicate it, it's still perfectly valid.

Also, considering how many different parts/designs of their plane they patented, they clearly had great mastery over their own design process.

What the fuck do people really do this? You're already in the shower, what's the extra step?

I shower too much. 40~44C year round. When I start using too much product my skin dries and feels like I'm gonna break into a million little pieces of painful meat.

Honestly my showers consist mostly of water. Soap for my dick, ass and armpits.
