I wanna hear some advice from our /int/ friends about the tomorrow's referendum in Italy.
It's gonna change our commie constitution afterall.
>>
Italian pata on hyvää
>>
Why do you think anyone outside of Italy knows or cares?
>>
Italianpata on hyvää
>>
>Yes: hillary clinton, european union,cucks,numales.,trudeau,feminism refugees, merkel,russophobia

>No:trump,brexit farage,le pen, alt-right,das raysis,putin,SS+Gomad,nationalism

vote accordingly to which group you belong
>>
>>68183836

I strongly believe in good natured, well educated, no bias first worlders opinions about a serious matter.
Italy's collapse would be a disaster for the EU and World's economy.
>>
>>68183903
Great /pol/-tier reductionism, faggot
>>
>>68183903

i wanted to believe things would be that simple but we are changing our constitution, whoever will be elected would be more efficient.
That's all.
A rightist in power would have more power against mass immigartion and the EU than now.

But the problem is: who is now in power is a pro globalization leftie.
>>
I can't remember which side is which, but an unelected upper house is a fucking stupid idea. Checks and balances, nigga.
>>
>>68183743
>It's gonna change our commie constitution afterall.
Can you elaborate a bit on that?
>>
>>68183743
A socialist wants to modify your political system to "simplify bureaucracy and enable legislation to pass through parliament quicker and make the country competitive"

Red flag (idiom), a metaphor for something signalling a problem
>>
>>68184030

yeah i agree with you. But they would be elected with regional councils in regional elections.
We have "equal bicameralism", lower and upper houses do the same shit. And if something gets approved in the lower house, passes to the upper house and they change a comma and approve it, it has to be reexamined by the lower house and voted again. Forever and ever.
It's not been a huge problem for laws the politicians REALLY wanted to do really fast but it's still an excuse for everything else.
>>
>>68184081
>Renzi
>socialist
You're fucking retarded
>>
>>68184081

our PM is a leftie christian democrat, not even a social democrat. He's worse.
>>
>f the referendum fails, Mr Renzi says he will step down. Investors, and many European governments, fear a No vote will turn Italy into the “third domino” in a toppling international order, after Brexit and the election of Donald Trump. Yet this newspaper believes that No is how Italians should vote.

>Mr Renzi’s constitutional amendment fails to deal with the main problem, which is Italy’s unwillingness to reform. And any secondary benefits are outweighed by drawbacks—above all the risk that, in seeking to halt the instability that has given Italy 65 governments since 1945, it creates an elected strongman. This in the country that produced Benito Mussolini and Silvio Berlusconi and is worryingly vulnerable to populism.

http://www.economist.com/news/leaders/21710816-country-needs-far-reaching-reforms-just-not-ones-offer-why-italy-should-vote-no

then again everything theecon supported this year went the other way so my bet is its going to be yes
>>
>>68184209

putting Mussolini and Berlusconi in the same sentence...oh it's the ecommunist.
>>
>>68184113
With the large differences between north and south, it seems that could simply open up another can of worms, where the upper house is not just divided by party, but by region too. Hasn't done places like Belgium any good.
>>
Italianpata on hyvää
>>
>>68184435

i didn't think about it.
But the vast majority of power would be for the nationally elected lower house
>>
>>68184435
The upper house would have much less power. Moreover, three Northern and two Southern regions already have a special status and aren't affected much by the referendum

>>68184570
Wait, so you'd almost turn into a de facto unicameral country? That would mean that the government could basically push through anything they wanted, if they have a parliamentary majority in the lower house.

This sounds more and more like some half-baked scheme the government thought up while drunk, because true political reform is too much effort for them.
>>
>>68184696

in our system the PM gets chosen by the president and he has to go ask for the majority of votes in the houses.
It is a parliamentary system.
>>
>people who don't even know what the Senate in Italy does giving advice on what the right choice is.
At least I know that I know nothing.
>>
I don't know the exact details, I just think it was stupid for Renzi to stake his job on winning the vote. For a lot of people it'll become a vote on keeping him as PM

>>68184696
This is basically what we have
>>
Vote for no
>>
>>68183903
>reality is too complicated for me to grasp, so I'll just reduce it into some simplistic dichotomy with a "good" and "evil" side
>>
>>68183743
1. Supposedly will make the government more efficient.
2. Guarantees whoever wins the plurality, wins a majority of seats. AKA 5+ years unopposed.
3. If you elect a left-wing party (PD, Renzi) you get turbocharged migrants/rapefugees and welfare benefits. If you elect a right-wing party you either get Bersculoni or M5S. Most likely they will cut down on the rapefugees, possibly make a referendum of the Eurozone, and do very little else.
>>
>>68189930
Thread ruined, good fucking job shitstain.

Kill yourself Luigi.

You overseas WE WUZs better not flip this referendum.

That's the new electoral law and it has nothing to do with the constitutional referendum you retarded faggot

OP, vote no. Renzi is the not the man who should be given this power, checks and balances are always better than an autocrat especially one of the EU. When the Senate relinquished power to the Pinceps in Rome I'm sure they didnt believe that for the next 450 years they'd be ruled by mostly tyrannical and incompetent emperors. Vote no and cut your losses, don't let Italia go to shit

Our current constitution was made between 1945-1948 by ALL the parties EXCEPT the Movimento Sociale Italiano (the new name of the Partito Nazionale Fascista).
Commies were powerful because ''muh rezizdensge'' and the possibility of a commie revolution and the joining the Soviet Block was great.
So their influence to our costitution was heavy
>>
>>68183743
I'd vote yes, even if this would mean a vote for Renzi. The thing is, that the reform (as I understood it) could help every following government too. I also don't like beppe grillo.
>>
>>68183919
Nobody cares
I am rooting for total collapse of your shithole country, just because I hate everyone
>>
>>68196708
ok

but you need to work on that anger, it only ruins yourself
>>
>>68183743
If something similar were to go to the US I would vote no.
I like the system that still gives the minority a voice, instead of letting tyranny of the majority rule.
I do always hear about how horribly inefficient southern Euro governments are, so maybe it will help you guys in the long run, but who knows. Truly a decision that needs to be thought through carefully.
>>
OP here.

Thank you all. I still have no idea, ill decide tomorrow morning as always.
