What are some traditional foods you eat on Christmas? I've become very much into cooking, and I'm looking to elevate my family's Christmas dinner beyond simply ham, green beans, and macaroni & cheese.

Turkey would be my family's stapple, other copmon ones are glazed ham or Bacalao a la VizcaĆna. The most unique one is romeritos, that's a plant that's cooked and served in a mole sauce with shrimp, usually fried patties.

I might be able to convince them with the Bacalao a la Vizcaina, thanks. I doubt anything with mole sauce and shrimp is going to pass inspection for Christmas around here though, heh.

We don't celebrate christmas here, but for any major holiday, pilaf with stuffed hen or fish is must.
Also, olivier salad.
