You can talk to strangers but first they may be a bit surprised since we NEVER look for conversation on our own. There's some historical places to go if you're in to that and i thikn the nightlife is ok in the bigger towns in south. Of course the nature is superb at any season, i personally like finland in the summer and always go on long treks and visit family up in the north. On winter the very short days might be a bit overwhelming but it has it's own upsides i guess.
