The world is the most peaceful it has been in a long time by all metrics. There is no opportunity for great deeds in this time.
Machiavelli writes about it in the Prince, leaders are usually suited either for peace or for time of turmoil, rarely both.
Merkel is probably the greatest of our time when it comes to peace.
We will see who turns out good at turmoil in the coming years. My bet is on Orban.
