Seriously, even during the Fascist dictatorship, and after the Revolution had won in Cuba, Franco and Castro had good relations. When egged on by Kissinger about this -since Fascist Spain was supposed to be an ally against gommunism-, Franco answered: "don't tell me how to deal with Cuba, you call this a problem between nations but for us it's a problem within the family". Many Cubans have relatives in Spain and the other way round.
