Even the current super-liberal immigration minister says the 100M pace was too high and that it would lead to integration issues.

Further, the increasing rate of labour obsolescence by technology will make mass immigration strategies for GDP growth less appealing. We're likely to continue being ~fairly~ selective and taking largely asian/brown immigrants who have skills which are in undersupply.
