have you ever being shamed for not being well travelled?
I overhear a girl at work saying that she wouldn't consider dating anyone who hasn't at least travelled to two countries.
She also consider guys who travels to europe to be more worldly compared to south east asia are more likely sexpats and low class bydlos.
I've never travelled any where. I hate it when normies talk to me about holidaying here and there. they badger me to "get out more and see the world while you're young" when they learn I haven't been any where.
It's microaggression to people who have social anxiety and have difficult time socialising, but they don't know that. they don't know they're punching me in the gut when they are gloating about their normie adventures while I wallow on the internet for decades.
at least 9/10 of people I talk to at work have being somewhere. even muhammed has stories about how they tended goats as a kid and boat stories. this girl made me realise I will never find a gf.
>>67813815
she sounds like a reversed certain-type-of-white-male
Not exactly _shamed_, but when people find out how many languages I speak, they're always shocked to learn that I've never been outside of the US.
The thing is, unless you really want to travel to Canada or Mexico, you don't have many inexpensive options when you're from the US. I'd love to travel to other countries, don't get me wrong, but it's hella expensive and there are other things I'd rather spend my money on at the moment.
>even muhammed has stories about how they tended goats
listen here Bruce, whore will be whores
but if you have a good sense of humour like displayed above they will drop their panties unless you become a sadcunt
understood?
I'm just honest about it and tell people I'm too poor to afford traveling. I still like to think I'm more "cultured" than a lot of richfags who actually can afford to do so since I read up about different places a lot.
>>67813815
>have you ever being shamed for not being well travelled?
yes but i am a poor subhuman russian piece of dirt so at least i have an excuse
>>67813973
Russians are tough and take no nonsense bullshit.
Don't hate yourself Ruskiebro.
No. It's the other way around here. If you travel too much then you might not be ready for a marriage commitment.
>>67813953
>I still like to think I'm more "cultured" than a lot of richfags who actually
you mistake knowledge with "experience". normies don't care you that know what the gdp output of the ottoman empire was, in fact if you even mention as much their eyes glaze over, -50 charisma.
but if you say you've being backpacking you automatically gain +10 social status and if you show them selfies it's +50, the manager might even try to promote you.
>>67813815
>his only problem for not getting out is his anxiety
fucking kill yourself
i struggled with a libyan passport and still got out
give me your fucking passport and kill yourself i want to see the world
>>67813815
Sometimes I'm surprised by how little other Americans have traveled. Not internationally, but within our country. It's one of those things where I get reminded how spoiled I was as a kid, I got to take vacations to Colorado, California, New York, and Florida while my friends were stuck in the same little part of the Midwest their entire childhoods.
>>67814359
While I (>>67813890) haven't traveled outside of the US, I've seen a decent amount of the inside, so to speak. I'm from California, and I've been to Oregon, Nevada, Missouri, New York, and Washington, D.C (plus small parts of Virginia and Maryland, which comes with visiting D.C.).
>>67813815
>have you ever being shamed for not being well travelled?
yes. I grew up in a low income family (what some would call "white trash", although that kind of classism is misanthropic as fuck), and I could never afford to travel abroad like everyone else did. to this day, I've still never traveled outside of Europe.
hearing middle class leftists talk about how travelling abroad makes you a better, more open minded person is extremely provocative to me.
hating on poor people and so called "white trash" has become far too acceptable in our society.
I've ever never left Gunma pref
>>67814748
Going to Poland for a week will cost you 3000. If you have a shitty car you can literally go anywhere for under that.
>>67815022
nvm, saw "Outside Europe", now
>>67814320
>-50 to charisma
>+10 social status
This is an absolutely lethal level of autism
>>67814320
/r9k/ tier autistic virgin neckbeard detected.
No, but the opposite is true, girls love me for being so well traveled. In fact I'm on my way to the airport right now.
I don't talk to people so this isn't a problem for me
If you have social anxiety at least act like you have social anxiety
>>67813815
what´s the problem. book a flight?
>>67816008
social anxiety mostly.
plus $1000 plane ticket = gtx1080 or two ps4 pros.
>mfw I have never left the country
I'm too poor to travel
But at least now I have plenty of knowledge about Finland
>>67816278
because it´s so difficult to leave the country in Austria.
You could do that by bike if you really wanted
All Dutch people travel afaik.
I've only ever been to greece and portugal
People don't really care about it tho
>>67816231
just man up breh
>>67813815
when travelling alone, the only people you really have to talk to, are customs agents and some odd stranger you would ask for directions
if you get your shit together before the trip, of course
my point is, if you are not prepared to talk to people and you blame it on your anxiety, you're wrong
>flag
>make roughly 300$/month
>been to Algeria, Serbia, Turkey, France, Finland, China, India, Japan
WTF
Who the fuck cares what she thinks?
Is her opinion valuable to you? - if so, why?
Call her a stupid slut and slap her ass, don't listen to what she says.
>>67816753
yea on mommies money

>>67813890
>>67813973
I'm a lower middle class Brazillian and I've been to the US (3 times), Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Italy, Spain and France.
Get your fucking shit together, if I can do it, anyone can.

I'm already 31. even renewing my passport brings feeling of regret and lost opportunities of things that I should have done in my youth, a right of passage that everyone else did but me. It feels like I am chasing the past, trying to make up for lost time instead of moving on. I am trapped in this manchild state of mind forever. I'll probably die alone.
>>67817580
31 is still a good age to travel. Why are you acting like you're 60?
travelling is overated
>>67813815
>I overhear a girl at work saying that she wouldn't consider dating anyone who hasn't at least travelled to two countries.
That's the most retarded deal breaker I've ever heard.
I'm interested in some countries, but I mostly care about their literature. I don't want to visit them.
>>67817723
because mentally I am.
>>67814748
Poor=/=white trash
Everyday here
:l
I've never really been outside the country but I've traveled a lot inside of it. I technically went to Mexico once but it was a horrible border town and we only stayed there for a few hours.
I've been to Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
It's a good experience and was a blast, but it isn't life changing.
>>67825740
And Canada but that's not really worth mentioning
fuck travel. I'm never leaving Canada again. except maybe to visit some of the northern states
the outside world is shit
>fall asleep on train
>wake up in another country
>>67816312
Reminds me of a news about a dutch/belgian/luxemburgian (can't remember which) granny, who left to 50km trip and ended up in eastern Europe. She had some kind of memory disease.
>>67813815
>have you ever being shamed for not being well travelled?
no but I would like to travel a lot, starting with my own country. I barely even know my city
>>67816231
>plus $1000 plane ticket = gtx1080 or two ps4 pros.
pls be a joke, stop playing video games jfc
>tfw foreigners have been to 50x as many states than I have
