I starting learning Korean the other week because it seemed like a cool place with nice stuff coming from it, but I've recently found out most people their are rude to foreigners and always telling them to fuck off and go away from their country and have anti foreign media and protests all the time.

It's true that there could be some racist mood against chinese or other foreigners who is in korea for laborwork, mostly from poor regions

I think many Europeans felt some sort of kinship with Asia for a long time. There's been Westerners interested in Asian culture since the 1700s.
Of course it's exploded now days due to Japanese/Korean media infiltrating the internet, and more people being exposed to it.
