This was an Italian comedy, only scene I remember was a kid was late for (first) day of school, and they father, or uncle, was an Ambulance driver and so he throws on the sirens, and cuts through traffic to get him to class.

same time frame. mayyyybe it might have been here in the states around 1992/3. I kinda have a memory of wanting to see this movie again, and my parents renting it for me.
If that's the case, it would have been from some Russian Deli store that rented old Russian movies. I cant recall clearly enough, my parent dont remember.
