The beeb is taken for granted in this country. People on this board might cry cuck about the licence fee but paying £145 a year for the variety and quality we are given is a good deal. Those who object are often happier paying £240 for shit like Sky.

America does get BBC America, anon. Plus the BBC sells a lot of its shows to the US - the US is the largest importer of British TV out of everyone.

The Attenborough documentaries are god-tier, although I don't really give a shit about anything else they do. They're also not nearly as biased as people claim. They're certainly not perfectly neutral but they're a lot better than most other news sources.
