Probably better. Trumpo wants to axe NAFTA. This will mean that Mexico will get it's agricultural base back. Mexicos agricultural sector was destroyed when NAFTA went into effect; as it was flooded with cheap, subsidized American produce. The trade off will be that Mexico's industrial base (cars, electronics, clothes, machinery etc) may suffer if Trump does put a 35% tariff on Mexican imports, however it's already a bit too late for that to matter. Mexico already built up a huge manufacturing sector and is already planning on having 2/3rds of their exports go towards locations other than the US by 2020. Mexicans aren't really coming to the US anymore already.

I lived in mexico for an entire summer, here's what I have to say.
If you have family there, comfy living
If you don't have anybody, then slave wage

It's alright, demand for multilingual engineers is going up with all the foreign manufacturing plants starting up, pay is not as good as in other countries but then again there is a lot of cheap stuff. Main cities in every state are blowing up in population so right now it's a huge pain in the ass to move around till the government realizes that the archaic public transport system sucks hairy balls. Food is good, girls have nice hips and tits, can't complain.

Spanish (obviously), English (Certified TOEFL iBT 90 points or more), German (B1). Anything other than that is a plus, there are a few Japanese plants where I live but from what I've seen they bring their own engineers, at least for now since they are pretty recent and should leave once operations stabilize.
