Think of a new alphabet song to deal with the change in syllables, I don't give a fuck. But I do know that doubleyou needs to be pronounced We.
>>
Sometimes when I read acronyms using W I pronounce W like "way" in my head.

Could call it that.
>>
>in France double-you is called double-vee

I don't know how to feel about this.

It's called a double u because it's a double u. The letter didn't exist in the latin alphabet and normally isn't used in romance languages. Germanics using the latin alphabet had to improvise when writing in their own language instead of latin, so for a sound that the latin alphabet couldn't represent well, they doubled letters. Double s, double u (v), etc.

I thought it was uve doble, the alphabet is one of the few things I remember from mandatory spanish classes in 5th~8th grades.

No.

Just add the word "single" in front of every other letter.

singleayy, singlebee, singlecee, etc.

It's the only right way.
>>

Excuse me chilli, but it's actually "uve doble"
>>
>>67134530
Both are correct, uve doble sounds archaic in Mexican Spanish but it may be common in some other places
