Yes but to which extent? Sure bullying could be worked on a little bit (probably not much, transsexuals will never be considered normal - they are disgusting to pretty much every culture and are mostly used as a sexual fetish, rather than respected as actual human beings).

But the bigger issue is that the transgenders aren't happy themselves because they will never really look like a woman, have functioning female parts or look like a woman as they get older, I would imagine this causes a lot of despair in these people which would be a major contributing factor to their suicide rate.

I mean let's be real, the only Trannies people actually tolerate are the very small percentage who start early and have good bone structure and are attractive MtF, and that's a tiny percent that's posted on Porn sites and 4chan. The rest look like neither gender and have to deal with that. And it's unlikely that social perception of them will change in the near future by all metrics.
