I never heard of a German school that uses uniforms.

After elementary the kids are seperated into three different types of school, depending on their grades. If do well or very bad you can also switch later on. The one with the best students is called Gymnasium, if you get a degree here you can study at a uni. (Simplified explanation)

No. We get separated early one into levels but the schools are the same. In my high school the levels were: general, college prep and honors. Each subject would have it's own ranking. There is also Special Ed for the potatoes.

Since I lived in the suburbs I went to a nice school with middle class (white/Asian) students. There were a few poor mexicans who usually started all of the fights. Almost everyone had a car at 16/17.

Private schools have good looking uniforms, public schools however... I had to use a light brown uniform during high school and then they changed them to something like pic related. The government gave them for free so they were all oversized shits. I fucking hated it.
