2:It's okay. Watch a few episodes a week. I read manga as well.

3: Decently popular for what it is; a sort of niche medium from a non-English-speaking Asian country. Probably not quite like in the US but a few in my primary and high school and class talked about series they where watching sometimes. None of the boys, weirdly enough.

Seems like more are into it nowadays. At least judging from my experience in the university I study at.
