Actually decent story telling to be honest. A lot of animes do this random shit where they'll throw a flashback for a solid half an episode just to set up a plot for a 2-3 episode portion. Even the filler episodes in SAO were at least fun and interesting. The only downside was in both seasons 1 and 2 they forced in a second half just to fill airtime. That being said, the way they forced it was at least somewhat engaging.

Gotta say, my biggest problem with a lot of the animes I watch is they fail at showing and not telling things, and they can't put things in chronological order for shit.
