Can you explain why are the Malvinas/Falkland rightful british clay as minutely as you can? This whole issue it's confusing to me.
>>
>>66713396
It's not, don't fall for their bullshit.
They tried the same thing with us.
>>
>>66713433
So I've heard.
>>
>>66713396
1. 99.9997% of the people living there wants to be British.
2. There's nothing your army can do about it.
>>
>>66713487
Plus Argentina is a relatively young country with its roots in Spanish colonisation of south America

It has no more right to it than Britain
>>
>>66713593

Didn't the frogs hit the islands before britain?
>>
>>66713612
Irregardles my point is a country that is only about 250 years only and whose majority population are decendant of European settlers cannot claim any land as their own
>>
>>66713612

Even if they did, that doesn't mean they established a permanent settlement there, and they forfeited the vast majority of their possessions to Britain anyway.
>>
>>66713693
250 years old **
>>
>>66713612
Yes, and it why it's called Malvinas.(It's come from Malouines who comes from Saint-Malo a french city,)
>>
The Brits were the first to settle it

99% of the population is British

When they voted on it only two people voted against staying in the u.k

The people from the islands think of themselves as british
What else is there to discuss?
>>
They voted and like 99.3% of them wanted to stay as a british territory

sorry

Tons of countries controlled the Island over various points in history (Even the US for a time), but now the people overwhelmingly wish to be part of Britain.
That's really all you need to have legit authority of a region. The people's support.
>>
>>66716060
Forgot to also add that legitimate authority can also be given to whomever holds it, prevents others from taking it, and is recognized as the official owner. Which again, is Britain.
>>
Nothing. Just British propaganda and rigged elections. It's mere miles off the Argentinian coast but thousands upon thousands from the British coast.
>>
Full of British people who overwhelmingly voted to remain British, and now they're British citizens. This is also reinforced by the fact that Britain proved its capability to protect the Falklands even when caught unprepared, as what happened in the war.

How is it not? England has controlled it for over a century. The people that live there overwhelmingly want to remain part of UK.

Argentina has never really owned these islands, except maybe for 2 years 200 years ago when they stole them from someone else.

As a yank I have no dog in this fight but as a neutral objective person Argentina really has no claim.

I support whatever natives want.
>>
>>66716323
>illegally occupied
When did this happen?
>>
>>66716124
location is rather irrelevant. Using that logic USA could invade and claim all the Caribbean islands. Canada could claim Greenland it is closer to Canada than Denmark.
>>
To be fair to the argentines, this is a dick move, but the inhabitants are brtis though
>>
>>66713487

This guy summed it up well. The people who live there want to be British, and fucking killing them is probably not going to change their minds.

There's also the fact that Argentina has no claim to it, other than 'it's nearby', nearby being a fucking stretch. Claiming it's yours because you were once owned by the same colonial power basically means America, being partitioned between most of Europe at one point or another and all it's powers, now has rightful rule over most the world.

I mean, Argentina literally invaded it because they realised they had no diplomatic argument to gain control, and thought Thatcher was insane enough to let it be lost. She was insane, but in the other direction, and our Navy completely demolished yours.

The only hullabaloo comes from the fact that an Argentinian warship was caught out of position, and tried to flee from British ships and was subsequently BTFO, quite literally.

>>66716124

>mere miles off the argentinian coast

...I swear canadians aren't actually this daft, and there's just some vengeful alaskan out there with a proxy. Mrs Palin, please step away from the computer, and for the love of god give your daughter condoms.
