Why don't we petition UNESCO to make American gun culture part of our intangible cultural heritage? It fits all of the definitions that UNESCO puts forth.

Intangible cultural heritage is:
Traditional, contemporary and living at the same time: intangible cultural heritage does not only represent inherited traditions from the past but also contemporary rural and urban practices in which diverse cultural groups take part;
Inclusive: we may share expressions of intangible cultural heritage that are similar to those practised by others. Whether they are from the neighbouring village, from a city on the opposite side of the world, or have been adapted by peoples who have migrated and settled in a different region, they all are intangible cultural heritage: they have been passed from one generation to another, have evolved in response to their environments and they contribute to giving us a sense of identity and continuity, providing a link from our past, through the present, and into our future. Intangible cultural heritage does not give rise to questions of whether or not certain practices are specific to a culture. It contributes to social cohesion, encouraging a sense of identity and responsibility which helps individuals to feel part of one or different communities and to feel part of society at large;
Representative: intangible cultural heritage is not merely valued as a cultural good, on a comparative basis, for its exclusivity or its exceptional value. It thrives on its basis in communities and depends on those whose knowledge of traditions, skills and customs are passed on to the rest of the community, from generation to generation, or to other communities;
Community-based: intangible cultural heritage can only be heritage when it is recognized as such by the communities, groups or individuals that create, maintain and transmit it – without their recognition, nobody else can decide for them that a given expression or practice is their heritage.

because they're not stupid enough to fall for that

That's not stupid at all, besides i wonder why someone never asked for that.

Its done by traditional communities, inherited from the past, practiced in the present, happens in cities and villages, is inclusive, provides a link to the past, participates to social cohesion, encourages a sense of identity and responsibility, and relies on knowledge of traditions, skills, and customs. It fits everything UNESCO wants.

As an honored forum representing the international community we need to work to protect this for the cultural heritage of future generations.

because that's the same is drug culture, mafia culture, gang culture, drunk driving culture, teen pregnancy culture and jaywalking culture

just because it's a culture doesn't mean it should be celebrated

One of China's "intangible cultural heritages" is eggs boiled in baby urine ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_boy_egg ) , why do we celebrate that and not good American father-to-son-and-nowadays-to-daughter traditions?

>even the french agree with us on guns
soon enough some limey cocksucker will show up and attempt to oppress us.

are guns really as fun as people make out? I imagine cleaning and maintaining them gets really boring after a while

It's a great pastime, sports involving firearms is pretty popular with all ages because of historical significance and media exposure like videogames (although this exposure brings in fucktards that don't know basic TD and suburban mothers who think inanimate objects conspire against American citizens, this is a good thing).
>>
same reason Ireland doesnt petition for eating potatoes
its not a cultural thing, its personal taste
there are gunfags all over the world

United Arab Emirates, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic all share a common "inalienable cultural heritage" for falconry, which practiced around the world.

Besides I'm sure some specific thing in America could be chosen.
