I was raised Catholic and my family is still Catholic and relatively regular church-goers. I hear every now and then about what's going on at Church and it doesn't sound very good for the long term life of the Church. Numbers have been dropping and less and less people go to mass anymore. They used to do a second collection once a month now it's every single week and sometimes there are three collections all to make up for lost attendance. And on top of that not enough people are interested in becoming priests anymore, they have to get foreign priests. Right now the priest is a Pajeet.

Churches are hurting. Maybe there are some that are thriving as there will always be but there are many sources that cite the younger generations as being less interested and invested in religion and this is only likely to increase with time.
