I love the French, whenever I travel around I find it easy to get on with them because they have a similar level of reservedness to the British. It's easy to become good friends with them because there's no pressure to get on and it doesn't feel like either side is forcing the friendship.

They had many advantages, almost all the advantages. They had more tanks, more troops, etc. They lost by tactics and their dismissiveness of air power. The Germans had more planes.

France helped us in the revolution, not out of some great generocity, but just to piss of the Brits and reduce their sphere at the time.

For work. It was the mid-term secondment to french HQ. I was so exited by Paris only during the very first month. The rest was a lasting nightmare despite that I lived in 15ème, which is not no-go zone as those arrondissements in North or East Paris are.
