Europoors
>Europoors send a multi million dollar probe to Mars
>It fucking got lost
You cant make this shit up. Yurop can't into mars.
>>66344299
They sent it on a Russian rocket. Shit was hexed.
>Space
let India and China handle it
we have other pressing things to take care of
>>66344299
>Europeans
>>66344299
We lost a multi million euro probe, your meme currency is irrelevant here.
I'm gonna post it before the Euros do

We have been completely reliant on ruskies for heavy lifting/astronauts since 2011.

>foreign countries don't use care about currency.
How is this an insult. Also their are actual countries that use the USD willingly because of trade/tourism.
Landing on Mars is extremely difficult.
Just getting there is quite a feat.
Hopefully ESA will succeed next time.
The only reason people laugh is because JPL+NASA make it look easy.
That's how good those guys are. It gives you some perspective.
This video explains how difficult it is to land on Mars.

Oh thank God!
>>66344299
lol who cares it's the ESA
You really think anybody is attached to some pan-continental money drain because it has the word Euro in it?
>>66345444
wasn't that hours ago and isn't that just the signal prior to atmospheric entry? i think we are still awaiting confirmation whether it landed safely on mars
>Join us tomorrow at 10:00 CEST (08:00 GMT) for a media briefing on the status of #ExoMars @ESA_EDM and @ESA_TGO
why do yuropoors do this when there something pressing happening? critical timing for the mission, but
>have to sleep at certain time
>tea and crumpets before work
>siesta
>holidays
etc
etc
if it were the US, believe you me we would be working our butt off until we get to the bottom of this
>>66348314
Pretty much.
Apparently the signal cut out at some point during the descent (but not at the actual landing point). So most likely it was damaged by a rough reentry. Even if it landed safely, if it can't transmit it's dead.
>>66348656
ah, that's a shame. hope it is something else which is fixable and it has arrived safely.
>One American satellite even called out to Schiaparelli to try to get it to respond.

name 2 that isn't weed and no our next fucking president does not matter or count.
