Actually this is a poll by IPSOS on how much people know about their own country, those taking the poll were asked to make estimates regarding the percentage of people adhering to a specific religion or the number of migrants in their country. To label this an index of ignorance is grossly misleading, obviously it was nations more concerned with following polls and statistics on religion in their country or migration numbers, eg countries worried about changing demographics, who came out on top, light colored countries did better, white ones did not participate.

If anything this measures paranoia about migration and demographics, whether justified or not.
