How does the oldest living house in your country look like (google it)? Here it's XVI century house in Vyborg. Built by Swedes, I guess, or Finns.

I know a family that lives in a former fortress. It's older than England.
built in 1148 apparently

>the oldest Russian house is in Viipuri
This triggers the Finns
didn't find the oldest house but our oldest commieblock is apparently 61 years old
which is fucking insane because those things were projected and built to be temporary housing that was supposed to be replaced in 10-20 years and nobody fucking knows how long will they actually last structurally.
Not sure if the oldest but this is what I have found.
Built in second half of XV. century.
>>66298207
Be that as it may, there's very few buildings in Russia older than the 19th century since most of them were made of wood.
1000 AD
>>66298226
>were projected and built to be temporary housing
Not all of them, it's mostly an urban legend.
>>66297731
and someone seems to live in it too

Have you heard about the Ship of Theseus paradox?
Late 1300's.
>>66298447
Yep, this lady.
>>66297731
I guess that depends if you're talking about some precolumbian ruins or the oldest colonial stuff. Pic is from 1580, maybe there are older colonial houses in the North-Northwest provinces.
This one is just a few km from my house, build in 876
>>66298852
I mean the oldest building where people live.
>>66298852
I think he means places where you live, because russia has some old as fuck churches etc.

When I searched for the oldest house the result were about Buenos Aires, not even the oldest colonial city, if you're talking about liveable places it must be some native ruins, we have practically nothing since our natives wer mostly nomads.
>>66299192
Natives.
Thank goodness we got rid of most of them, unlike South Africa.
>>66298357
>Not all of them
Well, obviously, after they realized roughly half of the planet isn't really down with this world communism business and they have to fund a massive fucking military to hold their chin above water, the rose tinted "actual house for everyone" way of thinking died down.
Still, at least over here they really managed to urbanize the fuck out the population, while not packing everyone into commieblocks. Out towns tend to have clusters of commieblocks and everything in between is just normal houses. 70's and 80's also had village people build themselves brick/concrete houses and wooden huts which were the mainstay outside of cities before the war became a minority.
>implying cavemen didn't build houses way before
Plus why the fuck do all of these houses have windows and doors when they are that old
>>66299311
People still live in them? They probably also have wifi.
>>66299311
>wondering why a house has doors
>>66299311
the criteria was the oldest house still lived in
>>66299354
Nobody lives in cave anymore dumbass, they aren't going to put wifi into them.
>>66299234
I mean houses where people STILL live.

>This triggers the Finns
Why would it? What triggers the Finns is how badly you've maintained Viipuri (and actually all other Finnish cities that are in the Karelian Republic) after we left. It was literally the second most important city in Finland after Helsinki and was in many regards for Finns what Питep is to Russians but under your care the city has totally stagnated to a shitty provincial town where you wouldn't even flinch if an apartment block just collapsed in front of your eyes.
It's truly a shame.

I think they were just trying to escape the cold, m8.

Oldest house in Paris is this, the house of Nicolas Flames, completed in 1407.
Most of the older sections of Paris were destroyed during the Haussmann renovations, as they were basically a giant fire and disease hazard. That, and all those those tiny streets made it really to fortify and hold parts of the city.
So they just destroyed them all, built these beautiful Haussmanian buildings everywhere, with avenues so large cavalry could charge down it, and artillery could be safely deployed. Just in case :^)

I forgot to add, yes people live in that since it's a Order's of Saint Benedict Abbey.

>Jerusalem
>>66300489
That pub was an... experience... Surprisingly not too many English were there when I went. A group of loud, obnoxious, and fat Germans were upstairs causing a scene and when I got there the barkeep pretty much told me not to bother going up there. Perhaps they ran off all the locals? I remember they left in a RHD Golf GTI, which was the only RHD vehicle I saw in Nottingham the week I was there, so I assume they came from across the channel.
There's a pub across the street which claims to be the true oldest pub in England but that's debatable.

Thats kinda boring. London and his old narrow street are more comfy.

Had a half order of fish, chips, n peas. Wasn't really hungry but thirsty. Had a whiskey sour followed by a couple pints of lager.
This was all just an hour prior to catching the train back to London to come home so I wasn't really trying to overdue it since I knew I was just going to get shitfaced on the train.
