Cost of living is kind of retarded here. You can easily get by decently with 600-700€ as single. If you put in some effort you can go down a couple hundred. But the government finds random shit to pull money out of you for everything. Got a chimney + one of the air exhausts in the kitchen? Well you better buy a certified thingy for 60 bucks that makes sure you can't use the air exhaust while the window is shut or the air exhaust will create underpressure in your house which will suck carbonmonoxide into your house while you have a fire on in your fireplace. And then there are a billion of unnecessesary insurances that everyone here has. And don't get me started on land prices. The houses itself are often pretty affordable, but the land the house is built on is fucking expensive.

As far as food and everyday shit goes its about twice the price of Bulgaria. Flats depend, but you would need your entire monthly wage for a small student flat/room in shared appartment. if you are lucky. Outside of regions with high demand. Before electricity and heating. Also electricity is fuckign expensive thanks to half assed green energy and shutting down proper energy sources.

Well, it can be explained by the disparity in cost of living. In comparison, an average junk food lunch on a roadside restaurant costs me about 8€ which is 3% of what I earn on an average day. 3% of 8€ is about 0.5€, correct? If this is the cost of your average lunch then we're pretty much equals.
