The boomers had a bunch of kids as did a lot of the planet in the 80s-90s. An "echo boom" of sort. Their boomer parents doted over them as helicopter parents, raising them with a particular sense of entitlement.

There are more millennials in the US than any other generation. We will see a repeat of the boomer's effect on society in the coming decades.

Well I come from an area where it's a common occupation so I just asked some of the people I knew if they need any more people and that's how I slowly got into it. I'm not from a family line of fishers.

Most people I know that work as fishermen are from the area or grew up here. Being a part of a fishing crew isn't really a "difficult" job so it's fine to bring on people with no experience if you need more people. It is very demanding and your body will break down if you aren't used to manual labor but you can learn it pretty fast, just takes time for your body to adjust.

Nah I grew up in a family descended from rural mountain folk and blue collar workers, fishing is just a hobby that I love getting paid for.

The fishing industry is a pretty big thing over here in the northwest and one of our main exports next to lumber, there are quite a few companies to choose from. I was just lucky enough to have my resume picked instead of the other guys.

Vast majority of 4chan are millenials. The year bracket is around 1981-1997. Anyone here who isn't a millenial is either likely underageb& or a super oldfag.

1992 here, I do think there is a pretty huge difference between older millenials and really young millenials. The ones born 1995+ grew up entirely with the Internet. A lot of 1992 people did too, but it's more situational for them. I spent most of my childhood without using the internet at all.
