I've seen countless brown people adapt just the same as everybody else to the cold. Sure, they don't like it, and they bitch about it even more than the natives do, but after the 1st winter they're pretty much settled in similarly to other people. It's only the first winter that sometimes succeeds in putting people off (but even then, in a city they just religiously avoid going outside and survive that way).
