I find early North American colonial history fascinating, but that includes the Carribean and Latin America so it's not really applicable to an individual nation.

For singular countries I find that China, France, Italy, Egypt, Japan, and Turkey all have extremely interesting histories as well - with various periods from each being intensely interesting to me. I think I'd have to pick France overall from them however, if even only for how in modern times its helped shape the geopolitical landscape of the world and the contributions it's made towards various philosophical and political schools of thought.

I think it's mostly because of the memay about India and the fact it's gotten very little coverage as a whole in Western historical schools - aside from its colonial history.

Persia is being ignored in this thread because it no longer exists in any meaningful sense though desu, and even then there's some people who have said Iran likely in large part due to their connection.

Southern Euros have a very interesting history, especially Italy and Greece, but Iberia seems fascinating too
Also, I like the history of Eastern Asians countries, just like China and Japan
And I consider the history of Middle Eastrn countries such as Turkey or Iran really cool

Shame I can't choose Australia. Dreamtime stories are such a fucking drug-trip.

I'd have to say Italy, simply thanks to the Roman Empire, but China has some crazy shit thrown around also.
